FLAURA ASHLEY HEALING ARTS
WEEKI WACHEE MANATEE RETREAT
Weeki Wachee River, Florida
Next Retreat: Oct 16-19, 2024
*NOTE: This retreat runs from Wednesday PM to Saturday AM.
The manatee is a powerful totem
who encourages us to slow down
and be present to our emotions,
trust the flow of life
and allow curiosity and open-heartedness
to guide us.
On this retreat, you'll be invited to slow down and open your heart to the grace of Mother Nature and the healing waters of the mystical Weeki Wachee River. Together we'll rise with the sun in meditation and offer our yoga practice to the river and all its life. After a healthy fresh breakfast, we take to the water for our morning paddle, where we are greeted by the abundant life in and around the river. We return to our home base on the waters edge for a hearty lunch and some down time before re-convening for stretching, yoga and/or group process. When the busyness of the day subsides and the river becomes quiet again, we return to the water via SUP to commune with the manatee, birds, fish and reptiles. After a joyful dinner and conversation, we practice a gentle digestive sequence, followed by evening meditation and time to sit by the river, under a blanket of stars listening to the flying fish splash about.
NIGHT PADDLE: The LED NIght Paddle is optional but highly recommended. The paddle is $40 additional, all of which goes to our amazing guide for her time and efforts for the night paddle. This paddle is often a highlight of the trip!
Participants may arrive anytime after 4pm on Wednesday. The retreat formally begins at 7pm Wednesday night! Space is limited!
This retreat is $895 per person. Accommodations are shared. If you come with a friend, you may be sharing a bed. If you come alone you will be sharing a room with others. A guaranteed private room for one is $1750.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The Weeki Wachee River and the land surrounding it is traditional land of the Seminole Native Americans. The Seminoles recognized this river as sacred and acknowledged the presence of the healing properties found in the natural spring known as Hospital Hole.
Manatee travel 4 miles in from the gulf to bask, graze and mate in these sacred, healing waters.
