FLAURA ASHLEY HEALING ARTS

WEEKI WACHEE MANATEE RETREAT
Weeki Wachee River, Florida
June 25-28, 2025

Option to enjoy an additional overnight Saturday pm once retreat ends!

The manatee is a powerful totem
who encourages us to slow down
and be present to our emotions,
trust the flow of life
and allow curiosity and open-heartedness
to guide us.

On this retreat, you'll be invited to slow down and open your heart to the grace of Mother Nature and the healing waters of three full days on the mystical Weeki Wachee River. Together we'll rise with the sun in meditation and offer our yoga practice to the river and all its life. After a healthy, fresh breakfast, we take to the water for our morning paddle, where we are greeted by the abundant life in and around the river. We return to our home base on the waters edge for a hearty lunch and some down time before re-convening for stretching, yoga, and/or group process. When the busy-ness of the day subsides and the river becomes quiet again, we return to the water via SUP to commune with the manatee, birds, fish, and reptiles. After a joyful dinner and conversation, we practice a gentle digestive sequence, followed by evening meditation and time to sit around the fire by the river's edge, under a blanket of stars, listening to the flying fish splash about.

NIGHT PADDLE: The LED Night Paddle is optional but highly recommended.
The paddle is led by our amazing guide, Weeki Wachee native, Pamela Napp. This paddle is $40 additional paid to the guide and is an incredible highlight!

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The Weeki Wachee River and its surrounding land are the traditional lands of
the Seminole and Timucua Native Americans.
The Seminoles and Timucua recognized this river as sacred, gave it its name which means "winding river" and acknowledged the presence of the healing properties found
in these natural spring waters.
Manatees, and other ocean animals, travel miles from the gulf to bask, graze and mate in these sacred, healing waters.
